Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mercanty LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company trading as Ounora ("Ounora", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit ounora.com or buy from us.
We are the data controller for the information described here. If you have any question about this policy, email support@ounora.com.
Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Order information | Name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone number, order contents | To process, ship and support your order |
| Payment information | Card type, last four digits, billing postcode, authorisation result | To take payment and prevent fraud. We never see or store your full card number — it goes directly to our payment processor. |
| Account information | Email address, password (encrypted), order history | Only if you choose to create an account |
| Device and usage data | IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring site, time on site | To keep the site secure and understand what's useful |
| Marketing preferences | Email address, subscription status | Only if you opt in to our emails |
| Support correspondence | Messages you send us and our replies | To answer your question and keep a record of it |
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health records, and we ask that you don't send us any. Our products are consumer goods, not medical devices, and we do not collect or process health data.
How we use your information
- To process orders, take payment, ship products and handle returns and warranty claims
- To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and delivery updates
- To answer your support messages
- To send marketing emails — only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve our site, products and service
- To comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold personal information and we have no plans to.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- Shopify — our ecommerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders
- Payment processors — to authorise and settle payments securely
- Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners — to deliver your order
- Email service providers — to send transactional and (where you've opted in) marketing email
- Analytics providers — to understand site usage in aggregate
We may also disclose information where legally required — to comply with a subpoena, law or regulation, or to protect our rights. If our business is sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction; we'd notify you if that materially changes how your data is handled.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, keep the site secure, and measure how the site is used. Strictly necessary cookies are required for checkout to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store may stop working correctly if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements — typically seven years for transaction records. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support correspondence is kept for up to three years.
How we protect it
The entire site runs over encrypted HTTPS. Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors. Access to customer information is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify you and the relevant authorities if a breach affects your data as required by law.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email support@ounora.com to exercise any of the rights below. We respond within 30 days and we will not discriminate against you for asking.
If you are in the United States (including California — CCPA/CPRA)
- Know what personal information we've collected about you and how it's used
- Access a copy of that information
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still submit a request
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)
- Access, rectification and erasure of your data
- Restriction of, and objection to, processing
- Data portability
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority
Our lawful bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to fulfil your order), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the site and prevent fraud), consent (marketing email and non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
If you are in Canada (PIPEDA) or Australia (Privacy Act)
You have equivalent rights of access and correction, and the right to challenge our handling of your information. Contact us at the address below.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and your information is processed there. If you are outside the US, your data will be transferred to and stored in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or the law. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the site.
