Does it press on my eyes?
No. The pods are sized and spaced so the weight lands on your brow and the bone around the eye socket rather than on the eyeball itself, and because they are separate they bend around your face instead of pushing flat against it.
Will it stay on if I sleep on my side?
Yes, and this is the main reason it is built in segments. Lying flat, the centre pods rest over both eyes. Roll onto your side and the outer pods take the weight while the centre lifts clear, so nothing is crushed between your face and the pillow.
Is it too heavy?
It is meant to be noticeable — that is the whole mechanism — but it is spread over four pods rather than concentrated. If you have found weighted masks uncomfortable before, it was almost certainly a single rigid pad resting directly on the eyelid.
How do I wash it?
Spot clean, or hand wash cold and air dry flat. Don't machine wash or tumble dry — the glass-bead fill needs to stay evenly distributed, and heat will flatten the velvet nap.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes. It folds soft and flat into a carry-on pocket, and there is no hardware in it. The tie closure also means it works in an upright seat, where elastic masks tend to ride up.
